How it works

Omega Joint contains a concentrated dose of EPA for arthritis pain relief and proactive joint health. It contains 550 mg of EPA compared to 180 mg in standard fish oil, therefore is three times the strength of standard fish oil.

Symptoms of osteoarthritis can include inflammation and swelling. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oils are generally regarded as having an anti-inflammatory effect in the human body. EPA plays a role in the production of the chemical messenger compounds, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are important in inflammation. Prostaglandins and leukotrienes derived from EPA are less inflammatory than prostaglandins and leukotrienes derived from other fatty acids such as omega-6 fatty acids, saturated fats and trans-fats.

Dosage

For proactive joint health:

Adults - Take 1 capsule twice a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children 6-12 years - Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.

For arthritis pain relief:

Adults - Take 2 capsules twice a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children 6-12 years - Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.
